Tod Maffin’s found quite a following for his I love radio blog, particularly since podcasting really took off last year. With many a podcaster thinking they’re now a qualified radio broadcaster, Tod’s posted a lot of really useful yet “radio staple” content which would-be broadcasters are simply lapping up. Nothing groundbreaking, but certainly enlightening for the unenlightened.
And if podcasters aren’t thinking they’re radio broadcasters, then they’re probably one of the “revolutionists” who think podcasting isn’t community radio, a personal gripe of mine, which I’ve ranted about many times here already. It is, so just deal with it OK?
So it was with great pleasure that I found that Tod’s just written a manifesto which nicely sums up what I’ve been saying all this time, particularly within our own station. Nothing left for me to say on it really. Read it and see how we’ve been saying radio needs to change.
