RSS feedToday Cindy and I went shopping for props for our impro show Scared Scriptless, so we headed over to a place called Reverse Garbage. In the end we didn’t really get much from there, but interesting place none the less.
Recently I’ve tried to cut down my focus on video production values, caring less about framing, lighting, editing, sound etc., just shooting footage from the hip so to speak, and doing a quick edit and publish. This is one of those, but it didn’t really turn out too well.
For starters, my camera battery went flat a few minutes after walking in the door. This left me with much less footage I could use, so in fact I had to use low quality shots anyway. And because there was so much movement, the compression isn’t too good either, so the file is quite big.
I look at Josh Leo’s videos and his production quality is so high, it’s amazing. So the question is whether I want to spend the time to get to that level, or just pump out a lot of rawer footage. I’ll continue to play.
